At these difficult times people are doing all they can to keep themselves and their communities safe and well. Please follow advice so we can work together to stop the spread of COVID-19 whilst also looking after our mental well-being and that of others.
We have provided some useful links and information below:
The Coronation Hall will remain closed until further notice – see our statement here. You may see our doors open on Thursday 26 March. This is so we can continue to offer a venue for running the important blood donation service. THIS IS NOT A PUBLIC EVENT. Only those with a pre-arranged appointment to give blood will be allowed to enter the building. For the safety of the blood donation team and our staff, walk-up offers to donate blood are not permitted.
The indoor market is temporarily closed to the public. Billy, the greengrocer in the indoor market is offering a delivery service – call him on 07456 320736 to place your order. As other indoor market traders are also able to offer a delivery service we will update the information here.
Ulverston Town Council has compiled a list of businesses that will deliver to your door should you be in self-isolation, it will be updated regularly and posted on their website – click here for their website. Our local businesses need your support right now, please use them where you can.
Lots of really useful information and resources are available via ulverston.com including how to volunteer, what does social distancing mean and clear medical advice for adults and some designed to help children understand what is happening
A Facebook group has been set up for those self-isolating or are unwell in the Ulverston area. People can contact them for help with shopping, dog walking or just a friendly phone call. Click here to join the group.
