The Crucible: Ulverston Outsiders

The Crucible: Ulverston Outsiders

***This event has been postponed.  Ticket holders will be contacted directly***

The Crucible, Arthur Miller’s, iconic and dramatic play is based on the Salem witch trials that took place in the Massachusetts Bay Colony during 1692 to 1693.
Written at the height of America’s “Red Scare” in the Cold War, The Crucible is Miller’s answer to the widespread hysteria and fundamentalist attacks from McCarthyism in the early 1950s.
The witch hunts of Salem were an allegory for the communist hunts led by the Committee of Un-American Activities.

The Outsiders present this play which is profoundly powerful in its message. Enduring, accessible and relevant, a wonderful masterpiece!
