Ulverston Live Music Presents: The Cajun Roosters with Room Full of Mirrors

Ulverston Live Music Presents: The Cajun Roosters with Room Full of Mirrors: Saturday 14 October: 7.30pm: £19

Unreserved Seating with Dance Floor

The Cajun Roosters are a five-piece band, from five countries, specialising in the music of SW Louisiana, deep in the South of the USA

Their music uses guitars, accordions and fiddles played in a way that is fresh and vibrant. Its home is in swamps and prairies of Southwest Louisiana but is finding a warm welcome in clubs and festivals of Europe.

With its driving beat, heartfelt emotions, and trance like melodies, it strikes a chord with 21st century ears.

The Cajun Rooster’s music is Cajun and Zydeco, honouring traditions whilst at the same time giving it a new twist. They were invited by Mark Lamarr to be in session on his BBC show for Radio 2 “God’s Jukebox”.

‘We aren’t from Louisiana but we pay respect…we dig deep into its roots…to share our love of this unique sound.’

It’s all about the energy and Room Full of Mirrors have lots of it! Original, liberating, optimistic and fun, these versatile, songwriting, multi-instrumentalists have taken the northern live music scene by storm.
